the clearing, or so, the place upon meeting, came not too long after her journey began, and the she-cat suddenly stopped. auds flickered about to any possible movement, but nothing of interest came. good. not late. not yet. the black tabby took a seat, a few tail lengths of pads towards the centered willow, and waited.

Steathily, she made her made toward it, then pounced! She missed the insect as it took off, and her paws slipped on the smooth bark underpaw. With a yowl of dismay, the apprentice plunged from the height to land, startled but unhurt, right in front of her mentor!
