...Time and time again the world becomes what it had once been, all in the beginning of things. But never before has it seemed so --empty. Alone even in the mists of the happenings, the center of the forest; bordered on all sides by others. Misfortunes happened ever so rarely, but end just in time as our warrior ansestors of StarClan swoop in for the save. Sad really, what we've fallen to, but who are we kidding? The Clans must prosper and grow, but the need is of cats. The Clans must survive and keep the forest intact. We must not fail. We mustn't fail.
The world fell silent, just as the last bits of dusk fell away, leaving the forest in a blanket of shadow, hidden from the rest. Few beings stirred, and amoung them, wandered the she-cat, alone and silent. Just as all around, she crept through the night without sound, her paws gliding over the forest's floor, carrying her towards the river's edge. And just as quiet as she ran, she slipped into the cool black waters and swam towards the island's shores.
Water droplets flew in every which way, leaving the ground she trod wet and fresh. The water never had made the cats of RiverClan fret, not the icey chills nor the wetness of the element. Not one with the energy of the sun, the swiftness of the cloud, the endurance of the moon. Not Skystar.
Her sleek pelt gleamed in the mists of the night, her eyes of azure standing out above all. She sat quietly at the water's edge, starring into the night. Never had one --could one-- feel so alone. So desprately alone.

A small, sleek shape padded out quietly. The gray apprentice looked shyly up at Skystar with her forest green gaze, wondering if her leader would chase her off for intruding when Skystar wanted to be alone. Elmpaw also wanted to know who her new mentor would be, since her old one, Ghostmoon, had disappeared almost a half moon ago. But she didn't ask the question yet, still wondering if she should find Skystar another time. Lone Island was a place cats liked to be alone at. Hence the name.

...And the journy begins every so often, the wandering will come in time, to rest in their place of need. And hence, they step forwards, many questions of their own. Though the need to speak is unthought of, and therefore, the silence begins.
...'What can I do for you?' The she-cat mewed, waking from her trance-like state. The paw steps were not needed to know the approaching of another, only the feeling from deep within, that that is hardly used by many. Skystar turned slightly, smiling at the young apprentice, before turning back to the moon, her dear friend Luna.

Elmpaw glanced shyly down at her paws before raising her eyes to met Skystar's with a steady green gaze. "Well, I was just wondering...when I'm going to get a new mentor. All the other apprentices will be ahead of me since its been so long since I've been training."

The she-cat smiled, turning once more to watch the apprentice. Her eyes sparkled with amusement and she let out a sigh. It was a little while before she replied, smile still intact. 'I'd better get on that then. We can't have one falling behind, now can we?' Another pause was given to let the joke fall in, then a nod. 'I'll make an anouncement about it right away. You have no need to worry.'
The she-cat smiled, now watching the eager apprentice race back. After the other she-cat was out of site, Skystar turned back to her self, watching the Starpelt carefully.
1) No posting anything like: "sneaks up on Silverstar and takes one of her lives", nothing along those lines. I am tired of it. If I see this, your IP will be imediately banned from the chatbox.
2) Obey the admin.
3) No swearing, cussing or cursing. Again, you will be banned. There is no need for such talk on my boards!
4) No advertising. Its okay to put a link in your name, but not your posts.
5) Have fun!
